After climbing up the corporate ladder to a Vice President of a publicly traded company I found myself for the first time LAID OFF during the Dot Com Bomb. I came home and made a promise to my family that I would never allow anyone else to have control over our financial future. I began to research and I am sharing with you the KEYS that helped me go from unemployment to full time in just 3 months and to over six figures in just nine months.

One month later

Yes, we know it has been a while since we have posted a blog about what has been happening in our lives. It's a busy time of year for us, end of school for both of our kids, one is in college the other high school so things are now starting to calm down a bit until they ramp back up for summer vacations!!! YA..

We can remember when we could only get 2 weeks off for vacations in the summer now that is no longer a problem. Now that we work from home we can plan our vacations anytime we want too. This summer we will be taking a least two vacations one to the mountains to fish and enjoy the cooler weather. Since, we are in Austin, TX the heat just about kills us in July and August, so we look forward to getting away and fly fishing with the kids. Than we will head to more heat, the beach!!

Our business has been growing in one month we have had 42 applications, 5 bibs, and 1241 leads. It has been amazing and we have to let you know that it's done in about 2 hours a day so it is not going to get in the way of our summer plans! That is what is so wonderful about this business. We have actually been blessed and been able to be involved in our children lives, watch as they make hard choices about life and also have fun living it.

Looking back at our lives getting laid off was probably the best thing that ever happened to us. We have found there to be two motivating factors in life, motivation or desperation. Both have inspired us to live a better life.
